23.10.2008 - A wall, table and monitor holder (WTM) for the transtec Mini PC is now available. The holder enables the monitor and computer to be integrated into one system, for example, so that the Mini PC doesn't have to take up any extra desk space. The small PC can enjoy its own position in the office as it can also be secured under the table or on the wall. A cable carrier is also optionally available for table and wall assembly which tidies up both the power supply and cables.

As of 1 August, the Tübingen IT specialist transtec will be fitting its entire range of CALLEO 330 servers with two identical quad-core processors but will only be charging for one. AMD quad-core Opteron CPUs will be used which have become popular under the code name Barcelona. Customers therefore save up to 1.070 GBP depending on the model. Tuebingen, 22 July, 2008. transtec extends its product portfolio to include the graphics workstations from the 1000 and 2000 series. The five models offer variable processors, chip sets and memories and have been designed for different requirements ranging from animation to high-performance simulations. The 1000 series with one processor is especially suitable for CAD and CAE applications (Computer Aided Design, Computer Aided Engineering) to fulfil standard requirements. For the upper performance classes, the 2000 series workstations offer two processors and a capacity of up to eight TB when eight hard disks are used.

17-year old wants to speed up Formula 1
transtec sponsors research competition winner Milad Mafi

Tuebingen, June 19 2008. Since 2006, the Tuebingen-based supplier of IT solutions and hardware, transtec, has been the official sponsors of research work by the 17-year old high school pupil Milad Mafi from Hanover supplying him with servers and workstations. He has recently won third place for physics in the national youth research competition "Jugend forscht" with his simulations on the fluid properties of the Formula 1 racing car's rear wing and winglets. His work has already made him famous at the FIA (Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile) and in Formula 1 circles.
