On the trail of high-performance computers
transtec to demonstrate its latest HPC power solutions at the International Supercomputing Conference in Dresden11.06.2007 - transtec AG will present its latest HPC technology at the International Supercomputing Conference (ISC) from 26th to 29th June.
This year’s ISC will be held from 26th to 29th June at the Dresden conference centre. transtec, a longstanding sponsor of the event, being the pre-eminent High Performance Computing conference in Europe, will of course be present to show its latest HPC solutions at the accompanying exhibition.
Using two Intel-based cluster systems, transtec’s HPC experts will demonstrate the computing power and versatility of advanced HPC cluster technology. Both systems consist of a master node and eight compute nodes. One runs under Microsoft Windows Compute Cluster Server 2003 and employs an EqualLogic storage solution while the other uses RapidScale storage and runs under a Linux cluster operating system.
Dr. Roland Fehrenbacher, chief Linux cluster architect, will discuss transtec’s latest HPC product designs, solutions and strategies on 28 June at the popular Hot Seat session.
With over 300 completed cluster projects, transtec is one of Europe’s leading providers of cluster solutions and services. “We see a large growth potential for high-performance computing in both the teaching and research and SMB areas, said Matthew Prew, Country Manager UK & Ireland. He continued, “Supercomputing has become affordable for medium-sized firms and, in these energy-conscious times, is gaining ground“.
The transtec exhibit will take place at Stand B27.
