transtec’s new entry-level servers

The new CALLEO 100 entry-level servers offer reliability and versatility at an attractive price

29.05.2007 – transtec AG has introduced a CALLEO 100-series server line consisting of CALLEO 101 and CALLEO 105 models. The new servers were designed to make it easier for SMBs to create networked IT environments. With a choice of a tower unit that can be converted for installation in 19” cabinets and a space-saving 1-U rackmount version, they can be adapted to virtually any IT environment and budget.

The versatility of transtec CALLEO 100-series servers is not limited to their space-saving dimensions: in addition to the Intel Pentium D processors included in the standard configuration, Intel Core 2 Duo and Xeon 3000-series dual- and quad-core processors are also supported. The basic configurations of both the CALLEO 101 and CALLEO 105 will sell for only 700 euro plus VAT, making them attractive for cost-conscious SMBs, as well as for larger firms that require a server for dedicated use as a firewall or file cache. CALLEO 100-series servers support both Linux and Microsoft operating systems. Delivery is scheduled to start in mid-May.
