transtec makes life easier for its server customers

transtec AG joins the Intel® Enabled Server Acceleration Alliance with the aim of furthering customer-friendly server solutions.

Tübingen, 13 January, 2007 – As a member of the Intel® Enabled Server Acceleration Alliance (Intel® ESAA) transtec AG, a provider of custom-tailored hardware solutions, now supports the development of reliable server solutions equipped with the latest technology. transtec joined the alliance in order to provide its customers with economical, easy-to-install-and-manage servers having components that have been fully tested for mutual compatibility. transtec will have access to more than 28 certified ISV solutions across eight different solution categories. “This gives us a technological head start,” said Holger Hennig, head of the transtec Cluster Competence Center. “Our customers will benefit from our ESAA membership because we will be able to provide them with servers that have certified compatibility with Intel® processors and support chips – immediately after they have been released.“ transtec servers manufactured and certified according to ESAA criteria are marketed under the name “Intel Managed Server”. Their strong points are reliability and ease of management.

Intel® ESAA and TSANet members benefit from collaboration

Intel® ESAA was founded in response to the complexity of the server market. Like all other Intel® ESAA members, transtec has also joined the Technical Support Alliance Network (TSANet), a world-wide association of more than 130 hardware and software companies which assists member companies in exchanging information that helps them jointly address support issues relating to heterogeneous end-customer environments. Collaboration between the support teams of TSANet members leads to better and faster solution to end-customer problems.
