transtec to demonstrate its expertise at the ISC2006

This year’s International Supercomputer Conference (ISC) will be held from 27 to 30 June in Dresden. transtec AG, one of the sponsors of the ISC2006, will inform visitors on its largest-ever cluster solution.

Tübingen, 1 June, 2006
The International Supercomputer Conference (ISC) is the leading forum for high-performance computing in Europe. transtec’s presentation at this year’s event will focus on a large-scale cluster system it designed for Honda Research Institute Europe.

The cluster, which delivers 2.5 Tflops peak, consists of 256 dual-processor nodes connected over an ultra-fast Infiniband network, making it the largest clustering solution ever put into operation by transtec. On 29 June, at one of “Hot Seat” sessions, cluster expert Dr Roland Fehrenbacher of the transtec Competence Center will explain the design, configuration and installation of the system, as well as the challenges posed by such a mammoth project.

Dr Fehrenbacher and other members of the Competence Center will be available to field questions on high-performance and high-availability computing.

Those looking for tickets can obtain one free of charge from transtec – as long as supplies last. The ticket covers admission to the main event and Hot Seat and vendor sessions.
To obtain a ticket contact transtec at event@transtec.de.

You will find transtec at Stand B28.
