transtec supercomputing resources on the Internet
The new transtec Competence Center Web site is dedicated to helping customers find solutions in the areas of high-performance and high-availability clustering and SAN/NAS networking.Tübingen, 31 January, 2006.
Two years ago transtec, the Tübingen-based IT system manufacturer, received the BWMI Gold Award for the best online configurator. Now, building on the recognition achieved through this award, transtec has created a Web site dedicated to clustering and SAN/NAS networking.
Businesses, research centres and other users of supercomputers will benefit from the wealth of information on clustering and high-availability networking available at http://www.transtec-cluster.com. The site contains theoretical contributions on the latest technologies, information on transtec high-end solutions, notices of related events and links to pertinent Web sites. Forums will be included later, in keeping with the ultimate goal of creating a virtual meeting place for both commercial and non-commercial users interested in discussing high-availability computing and making available their expertise to others.
The transtec Competence Centre is an independent transtec unit which is also involved in hardware assembly. Competence Center employees are experts in supercomputing, as well as in the design, assembly and installation of custom-tailored high-end server solutions and storage networks. In addition to detailed examples of product and service solutions, the Competence Centre Web site contains case histories of transtec projects and white papers on high-availability and high-performance computing, grid systems, Linux-based and Storage Area networks, as well as links to relevant Web sites. The site’s contact area provides a fast, convenient means of getting in touch with Competence Centre experts.
The Competence Centre addresses the needs of medium-sized companies and public and private institutions involved in computer-intensive research for reliable, high-performance supercomputing. In addition, it offers high-availability storage solutions for the mission-critical, high-volume applications of both commercial and non-commercial customers.
This year’s CeBIT will be held in Hanover from 9 to 15 March. You can find transtec at Stand C03 in Hall 2, where our specialists will be glad to provide information on server, cluster and storage solutions.
