transtec Business PC with new PCI Express Bus
New transtec Business PC provides higher throughput and bandwidthTuebingen, 09 September 2004. Thanks to the revolutionary PCI Express (PCle) bus, the new transtec Business PC provides four times the bandwidth and significantly higher throughput than PCs with the conventional PCI bus. This new system bus will ultimately replace both the AGP graphics interface and the PCI bus.
The new transtec Business PC provides the power needed for performance-hungry
applications such as video processing, multimedia streaming and gaming and allows
systems to keep pace with ever faster CPU clock speeds. Traffic jams on the data
highway are now a thing of the past.
Based on the Intel 915G chipset, the new transtec system is especially well-suited for multimedia applications. The employement of the PCI Express bus permits reliable, interruption-free video rendering, realistic simulations and improved multitasking.
The combination of PCI Express and the Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator (GMA) 900 provides stunning 3D rendition, while the new Dual Channel DDR2 memory technology gives an overall boost in system performance through doubled bandwidth, resulting in detailed graphics and snappy response from data-intensive applications.
Intel® Matrix Storage technology with Native Command Queuing and RAID 0 (striping) results in significantly better hard drive performance. The RAID 1 option (mirroring) provides hard drive redundancy, guaranteeing that drive failure will not result in the loss of important data. Finally, native hot-plug support allows hard drives to be replaced with the system running.
