transtec Office Server Is Ideal For Small User Groups

Compact, equipped with a noise-reducing enclosure and lockable front panel

Tuebingen, Germany, 22 September 2003
With its new Office Server, transtec AG has brought a device onto the market that has been expressly developed for use in office environments. The developers paid special attention to the needs of small companies and user groups while creating this particular server, such as space, noise, security and cost issues.

With its compact and noise-reducing midi tower enclosure, the Office Server works discretely in the background. It is the ideal device for use as a router, firewall or data cache, but this server is also suitable for file or print services in workgroups with up to 10 users. The lockable front panel prevents unauthorised access to the drives or operating elements on the front of the server. Plus, its sleek black design will blend into the smallest of offices. All these features and an extremely low price of 399 euros are what make the transtec Office Server the perfect entry-level choice.

The transtec Office Server is certified for use with the Windows Server 2003 and SuSE Linux Enterprise Server operating systems.
