transtec Is Extending Commitment to Eastern Europe

IT system manufacturer now also operating in Hungary

Budapest, Hungary, 18 September 2003.
Starting today, transtec AG will now be a force on the Eastern European IT market with a new location in Hungary. The system manufacturer, with headquarters in Tuebingen, Germany, has been doing business in seven European countries until this point (Great Britain, the Netherlands, Belgium, France, Switzerland, Austria and Germany) and has presented its anticipated activities in Hungary today in Budapest. “We are convinced that we will be an attractive alternative to other IT system manufacturers in the country. Other than that, we also know that “Made in Germany” IT products are also extremely popular in Hungary, and thus have an optimistic outlook in terms of our Eastern European expansion,” states Dieter Weißhaar, Chairman of the transtec AG Management Board.

A Hungarian company, Flag, will provide assistance for sales and support of transtec products. Flag has been active in the server and storage market since 1990, and its quick customer service department provides nation-wide 4-hour service out of Budapest 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The entire transtec product range is on offer, all of which is put together according to its build-to-order process that is tailor-made to fit the customer’s needs.

Matias Rajkay will be responsible for market development in Hungary and will report directly to Manfred Schwarzbier who is the Country Manager for Austria and also in charge of the Business Development unit at transtec.
