L5C series laptops with preinstalled SuSE Linux software now available

transtec AG completes its recently introduced ASUS product range to include series S1300N and L5800C notebooks. Both of these series offer top performance at an extremely low price. Now customers can choose between total mobility or a true desktop substitute without sacrificing performance or functionality.

The products in the S1300N series offer total mobility. These ultra-slim (18 mm) and super light (1.8 kg) notebooks with a 13.3” display are based on Intel® Centrino™ technology (battery run times of up to 4.8 hrs.) and are the perfect office solution while on the road. This powerful product with a modern enclosure can fit into any laptop bag, thanks to totally up-to-date technology.

L5800C series laptops provide you with all the advantages of a desktop PC and are the perfect partners in terms of mobile performance. No compromises in mobility and performance have been made with these laptops. The L5C and the integrated ATI graphics SMARTSHADER™ technology are just the right pair for demanding 3-D applications or films with exciting graphics. L5C series notebooks are also available with preinstalled SuSE Linux software on request.

The L5C notebooks with a 15” display, DVD-RW or CD-RW/DVD combo drive weigh only 3.5 kg and have excellent sound features thanks to a sound chamber specially developed for the L5C.
