Basaric from Dell - A New Asset to transtec AG

Special customer service: Test HPC clusters in new "Competence Centre for Cluster and Network Storage (CC)" for high-performance computing

transtec AG, located in Tuebingen, has a new recruit on its team. Ben Basaric adds an immediate boost to the IT system manufacturer as the company's new Business Unit Manager for the Server and PC Systems Unit. Basaric, most recently Product Marketing Manager for server systems in Central Europe at Dell, transtec’s major competitor, replaces Dr. Winfried Reiser. Reiser will take his new appointment as the Factory (Production & Development) Unit Manager. Before Winfried Reiser came to transtec he was working for the company Solectron as a managing director for applications concerning the product production unit.

Following the takeover of Dr. Koch Computertechnik AG, transtec AG is set to consolidate its commitment to the high-end computing and storage sector with its new "Competence Centre for Cluster and Network Storage (CC)". Dr. Andreas Koch, former company manager of Dr. Koch AG, will lead this team of seven specialists.

CC is an expert supplier of high-performance clustering, high-availability clustering and storage solutions. This centre offers customers support every step of the way - this covers initial planning information, advice and installation as well as service. Besides this comprehensive customer support, CC is also responsible for running a test HPC cluster, which covers typical customer requirements, and a model HA installation, but also supplies the SAN and NAS sector with transtec storage products. transtec customers can access samples on the Internet and test their specific requirements to find a special and individual solution.
